Validation and being listened to uninterrupted are key components in therapy. As a social worker and professional counselor, I utilize a holistic approach that supports individuals in their recovery and therapeutic journey.
I have experience working with teens, adults, and older adults. I specialize in depression, anxiety, ADHD, and adjustment issues. Additionally, in 2021, I received an advanced certification in mind-body medicine from the Center for Mind Body Medicine in Washington, D.C. Mind-body stress reduction techniques can be incorporated into sessions as desired.
Given my background, training, and experience, evidenced-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy are utilized within a safe telehealth environment. I also incorporate narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy as necessary. Together, we will explore ways to increase self-awareness, develop coping skills, and reduce self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviors.
