Treatment Plans
Counseling with a CBT therapist typically begins with education on the cognitive model, followed by use of cognitive and behavioral strategies to help you replace negative automatic thoughts, modify core beliefs, and increase problem-solving skills. At the beginning of your counseling relationship, your therapist will also develop a treatment plan to identify your goals and how you will achieve them. At Kalamazoo Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, PLLC, treatment plans are individualized for each client. Your therapist will consider your symptoms and the relationships between your core beliefs, rules and attitudes, and automatic thoughts. Interventions and techniques will then be selected based on these relationships.
